Artisan Spotlight – Debra’s Creatively Blessed

Debra Buttler Nelson is an artisan featured at The Artisan Cove in Canandaigua, NY, and Heartfelt Designs in Bloomfield, NY. A retired special education teacher of over 30 years, Debra’s life and work have long been rooted in creativity, compassion, and service to others.

After retirement, Debra entered a new season shaped by ministry involvement, Education for Ministry at Good Shepherd in Webster, and the changes brought on by the pandemic. During this time, she focused on serving where she was most needed—supporting the sick, helping feed others, praying with friends, and caring for her community. This season at home also gave her the opportunity to reconnect with her creative passions.

Debra has always had a natural talent for creating floral arrangements, including wreaths, swags, candle holders, and bouquets. What began as handmade gifts for family and friends grew—through word of mouth—into custom designs for homes and businesses. She values both the quiet creativity of the process and the meaningful connections formed with each customer.

Debra’s wreaths are designed to reflect warmth, welcome, and personal values—helping create inviting spaces that feel intentional and heartfelt. Each piece is made with care, thoughtfulness, and joy.

The wreaths in Debra’s gallery on her Facebook page Debras Creatively Blessed or website are an assortment of wreaths that were made with certain customers in mind. Creating a wreath is a blessing and pure joy. Welcome to Creatively Blessed!
